Once a peaceful city and a thriving port, Thamarya is in decay. Commerce has decreased, and crime has become rampant, forcing many businesses to close or become storages. Once amongst the most popular ruling houses, the beloved Royal Family, has vanished from public sight. Some whisper madness, others a curse, but only the powerful know what is going on. Syndicates, cults, and other noble houses scheme in the shadows while crime rises and the city becomes a shadow of its former self. Qimmi Stedfast, a rich potion seller, asks you to help him discover who are the criminal groups that are operating in Thamarya and what happened to his missing niece.
INTRODUCTION: Welcome to Twilight at Thamarya, a 5e compatible RPG adventure in the city of Thamarya by Cast n Play. The legendary city port is besieged by crime syndicates. Ever since the royal family retreated to their castle, the city has been overrun by crime and other parties which seek control of one of the richest cities of the continent. After talking to Olivia Daxx, a weird ranger and herb collector, you go to Vik’s, a famous
tavern, known for its fish & pork and diverse entertainment. There you meet Qimmi Stedfast, a potion seller who hires the adventurers to find out what happened to his niece by following somebody he believes may know something. The merchant also mentions that amongst the numerous crimes committed in the city there is one that is stranger than the rest. For years, halflings and short peoples have been vanishing at random. Some suspect traders, others cults, but no one is certain. Qimmi will pay handsomely if the players follow the target, and discover any information related to his niece and the crimes that plague the city.
RUNNING THE ADVENTURE:Twilight at Thamarya is a 5e compatible adventure meant for four to six 1st level player characters. The adventure is set in Thamarya, a rich kingdom city in the east of the continent of Eluan. A free city port where many peoples coexist, for the wealth of
Thamarya attracts many and their merchant navy is the best. Few things cannot be found in Thamarya, however, things have changed in the last couple of years; the royal family is weak, the King believed to be mad or ill, while crime and other houses increase their power. For an optimal experience we recommend some things:
• As a Dungeon Master you know your players better than anyone. Make your decisions accordingly.
• You have the last word. This adventure is a guide but you can improvise as you see fit.
• Fun is the ultimate goal, never forget that. (Note to DM: This introductory adventure to Thamarya occurs in the centre of Thamarya and the right bank, more will come).
• Thamarya is but a part of the continent of Eluan, and the city itself is complicated and vast; not all information will be available nor necessary for this adventure
